Spiced Pecans

Spiced Pecans

Preparation time:

70 minutes (including baking time)


2/3 cup sugar

teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

teaspoon nutmeg

teaspoon ginger

teaspoon cloves

1 pound pecans

1 egg white

1 teaspoon water


Mix egg white and water and beat until foamy.  Stir in pecans and stir to coat well, then stir in sugar and spice mixture.  Bake on greased cookie sheet at 250 degrees for one hour.  Stir every 15 minutes during baking.  Cool and store in airtight container.


Great as a party snack and on salads!
